I haven't played Reident Evil 5 so I don't know if this is the last one or if there's a cliff hanger or anything. But If they make a reisdent evil 6, hopefully it would be the last one, Doesn't anyone else want the movement to be like the old resident evils? (0,1,2,3,CV,Outbreak?) DOn't get me wrong, Resident evil 4 was great, idk about 5 tho, but it takes the eerie out of the game. Doesn't anyone else miss the crazy camera angles, and the sound of hunters aroudn the corner but the camera won't move and then it pops out of the darkness and you uscream? Well, I certainly do.If there was a RE6
I like the controls of 4 but like the scaryier setting's like the first 2.If there was a RE6
I wish they would but i truly doubt it. I think all we will get are remakes nothing new in terms of the older style.
I believe Outbreak is a completely different thing(like Dead Aim and such) because if I recall correctly, don't they blow up Raccoon City at the end? I remember fighting the Tyrant and the helicopter but that's it.
I like the new camera though although I would prefer the older style. The thing about the fixed camera was if something were to appear/be behind you, you would know whereas with the new camera, if you heard a sound you would have no clear where it could be which could open a whole new door especially for AI in the game(something appearing behind you then hiding as you turn to look for it only to keep stalking you since you don't know it's there). That's what I would like.

Aren't they remaking 1 and 0 for the Wii?

According to people on the RE5 forum Capcom said they were going to continue the series but with a new story arch and that the formula from RE5 could not be used again. Not sure if that's the co-op formula or the over-the-shoulder camera formula, or if it's even true cause I have nothing to cite.
They left Resident Evil 5 wide open for a continuation into Resident Evil 6. I don't see why they wouldn't make another one. As far as a 7 or 8 goes, it all depends where they take the story with this current one.
even though I didn't care for the storyline of the 5th all that much, I do hope there will be a 6th! but I hated the style of the old ones :P
I would like to see Resident Evil return to its' roots and be the survival horror that it used to be. There's nothing wrong with RE4 or RE5, but those two games greatly deviated from the typical Resident Evil formula of success that we've all known. There was no more scary scenes and no more puzzle solving in the last two games. I've encountered all the scary moments from RE1-RE3. I NEVER jumped at anything scene from 4 or 5 though.
Also, the enviornments from RE4 and RE5 weren't really as intimidating or as frightening as the previous RE enviornments. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that I would love to see RE go back to being a survival horror. I really liked and appreciated the 3rd person shooter games, but what made the foundation of Resident Evil were the scary scenery, the fear of the unknown, a balance between combat and puzzle solving, and the eerie music. Also, in previous RE games, you weren't handed ammo too often; therefore, you had to make a choice of running away from a zombie to conserve ammo or killing it. In the recent games, ammo drops from BOW enemies like candy from an pinata. You'll never run out of ammo.
Also, even though Capcom is going to change the formula to Resident Evil, I believe that Capcom must include one (or more) of the big four characters as playable characters. The big four characters would have to be Jill, Chris, Leon, or Claire.
i love the re4 control scheme
i want the same old resident evil 4 and 5. i just want more puzzles in the game. 4 had little and 5 barely called puzzles because it would be something like the power is out on this switch, go next door to get the generator working.

I wish they would keep RE4 and RE5 style.. and bring it back to Racoon city..
That would be awesome, imagine a huge boss fight on top of a huge building.. city lights in the backround

I agree, as long as they ditch the whole Co-op thing I'm happy, and make it actually scary, unlike Resident Evil 5.
If I remember right, someone in Capcom wanted RE5 to be the last game in the series but then Capcom announced some games being released for the Wii. Anyway, we all know good selling franchises will try to get milked until the last moment possible. BTW, I just got my CE RE5 and its been great so far.
think the first RE's was the best.
