There is DLC coming on the 21st!! One Brand new map, new mode (like Horde mode on gears2) and the two campaign mpas can now be played on VERSUS mode!!Also for the pc version the SDK is out on the 21st to! (so people can play all the user made campaigns liek resident evil3 and so on).No guns coming out, but there are new maps and new mode. I dont think ther needs to be any new weapons anyways, the ones that are there fit perfectly imo.Left 4 Dead needs new levels and guns.
Thats good to hear about an update coming, 4 levels isn't nearly enough. And I'd like to see more guns, even if they added ones that played basically the same as the ones they have it'd just be nice to have a little variety. I just like games with a nice selection.
Here's what I'd like to see, nothing too modern, just some more fps staples.
Pistol: .357 Magnum
SMG: MP5K, possibly duel wield
Shotgun: Double barreled
Assault Rifle: AK-47
Sniper Rifle: Dragunov
A flamethrower would be cool as well as an M79.
i would love to see a shopping mall. kinda like Dead Rising. n for new weapons. a flamethrower. wicked sick.
Anyone know if the new map coming out is a VS map or a Campaign map? The Campaign seriously needs a couple more maps.
i would love to see a shopping mall. kinda like Dead Rising. n for new weapons. a flamethrower. wicked sick.
Ive done some beta testing for some user made campaigns and let me tell you.. there are some awesome mall type levels!!!! If you have a decent PC bud id say get thsi game on pc, then you can try all teh user made campaigns!!

more maps. 4 campaigns just isn't enough content to keep people playing for a long time.
Sure it was popular in the first few months, as is any new release shooter, but then people get sick of playing the same old stuff over and over.
Anyone know if the new map coming out is a VS map or a Campaign map? The Campaign seriously needs a couple more maps.
The new map is just a level for Survivor mode. It will be the only level in Survivor mode that is actually new (the other levels are bits from the campaign).

Hooray. Time to break out the pc version, and wipe off the dust.
i would love to see a shopping mall. kinda like Dead Rising. n for new weapons. a flamethrower. wicked sick.
I completely agree. Or what about a casino. That would be awesome. And the poster idea above for Last Resort would be good too. Escape in a cruise ship at the end... then the ship gets taken over by zombies and you have a whole new level to beat. That would be awesome.
I would have liked to have voted both (it could come in a nice DLC package).
I had the game a while back and it gets sooo repetitive
I don't really care about any new guns, but the game really needs more campaigns. Four reasonably short campaigns just can't keep me playing the game, even though I love it.
ya id like to be see more of both but i dont mind since the dlc is going to be free.
On expert none of the guns feel powerful so getting new ones doesn't really matter as much. Unless they give us a rocket launcher to take out the Tank in one shot then I would much rather have some new levels. I wish there was more then one new map coming cause we need some more variety. I know they are probably holding out for L4D2 but they better not charge us $15 for the download.
I too need more guns and more levels. The current ones are nice but they are starting to feel a little stale.Because making lists is fun some of these would be nicePistol: Automatic pistol, m93r or glock 18
SMG: ump .40
shotgun: AA12 or SPAS 12
Assault Rifle: G3, g36
Sniper Rifle: Dragunov
Extra: RPG maybe
DLC is comming, and it's free too.
Hey should keep the guns simple. No rpgs or flamethrowers. A few melee weapons such as baseball bats, bars and wrenches would be nice. Also magnums and new types of machine guns and snipers.Weapons are nice but maps would be way better.
Melee weapons. No reason that Bats, Golf clubs and 2x4's shouldn't be all over the place. You get close enough to zombies often enough that melee weapons could be useful. Imagine, Shotgunner up front with a melee weapon dude in between him and the two Assault rifle guys who are covering the rear/snipin baddies. Melee weapon does more damage then a normal melee and acts exactly the same, maybe with slighty better range or different swinging patterns/alternating strikes. Hold in for stronger hit (charge feature forces enemies to stumble backwards). Of course, like melee it would be worthless agains the tank and the Witch, but pistols are infinite ammo so you have something to use. Melee weapons can make defending from Hunters a tad easier and could easily be limited by making Hunters immune to knockback after they are moving a specific speed (dropping off a rooftop should have something moving fast enough to ignore things like knockback when it hits anyway and would encourage more ambush hunters as opposed to berserker hunters who charge blindly into a flurry of fists.)
