XBL Screwing Up Wireless Router

Hey everybody! My friend has a wireless router that is hooked up to multiple computers. It is also connected to his X360 (wired). When someone goes on to XBL on the 360, the router will start acting strange. The internet stops working on some of the computers (sometimes 1 or 2 computers will retain access) and the wireless network goes down. We're not sure what's causing the problem and I don't know the model number of the router. My friend's dad is pissed at him for screwing it up so he won't let him lift it up to check the number. All I know is that it's a Linksys router and that they have tried reseting it 3 or 4 times to no avail. If anyone here has any solution at all that may work, please post it. My friend can't use the internet any more because his dad is pissed at him and his brothers are always on XBL so the home network is frequently unuseable.XBL Screwing Up Wireless Router
It is mostlikely the router. I have an old one at my parents house and the network would go down at random times whether 360 was turned on or not. It likely had something to do with the router not able to handle multiple computers being connected to it. I got a new router (well I got itfree so I gave it to the parents) and it works fine. So yeah check if the router is a piece of crap or not.I just read your post closer and the old router I had was a Linksys also, it was one of those blue metal square ones and it was only A/B compatible. In my case to fix the problem I would unplug both the cable modem and router for a minute then plug them back in to get it working again.XBL Screwing Up Wireless Router
My live connection has been iffy also lately and i never used to have a problem. So it might not just be your router.
They said that it's a pretty old router, so that might be the problem. It only happens when connected to XBL though, not at random times.
