just curious if anybody has heard if Ubi will be making/releasing another R6 game in the near future? No matter what I play through, Gears2, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty series - I always come back to Rainbow Six.this is obviously too lucrative a franchise to let idle, but I haven't heard anything - who has heard something??Any new Rainbow Six game on the horizon?
i was talking about this with a friend yesterday. i would love to see a new R6 game. or a GRAW3. but as far as i know ubi is just working on AC2 n the Splinter Cell Game.Any new Rainbow Six game on the horizon?
Right now Ubisoft has divisoins working on Splinter Cell Conviction, Assassin's Creed 2, and a new Ghost Recon. Ubisoft Montreal, the current Rainbow Six developer, is working onall three of them, so it will either be a while before a new one, or it will be taken up by a different division. Knowing them, Ubisoft Shanghai or Ubisoft Romania is probably working on it right now.
I'd love to see a new R6, I have played since the original. I don't like the direction the game is moving toward though, it's getting too much like Gears of War, they need to go back to tactical gameplay, not just run and gun.
I felt that the Vegas games are tactical. Maybe not as tactical as the original, but I thank that it works out perfectly.
I don't think a new Rainbow Six will come out soon since they are currently working on a bunch of other games, but I'm sure that a new one will come eventually. It's too good of a series to let die. Rainbow Six 2 was great. I can wait for a third.
