My xbox controller has now died; it has nothing to do with the battery, it did this while it was fully charged. It starts flashing and the lights in the middle ring on the controller start to go around in a circle, its weird. It used to stay on for long periods of time before it turned off, it now turns off as soon as I turn it on. It's a real drag!! I don't think its the battery
that happenes to me sometime. everytime at the most crucial point in a match
it wasn't that bad a few weeks ago, now it just turns on and immediately turns off. It really really sucks
Try using the normal AA battery. Also play and charge kit is bad. It kills your battery really fast. Use charge pack instead.
You will have to replace your rechargeable battery pack then ,in the instructions it does say they will eventually not work well and must be replaced, a new one would cost $11.

I've never seen or heard anything about the Play and Charge killing batteries ... Also, how do you get your Gamercard? I am registered with MGC.net and I don't have that one to pick from ...To Solidpepe ... I agree it sounds like it IS your battery. Do you play a lot? How long have you been using that battery? Do you often take it off and on? If so maybe try cleaning the contacts.
Mine only 'suddenly' goes off when it needs charging.
