Hi, my xbox has recently come under the problem or having a faulty disc drive (it keeps on saying disc is dirty or damaged), my xbox is out of warranty.Tbh i dont want to pay money to fix something that shouldnt be broken, so the question im asking is, if i rang up and said my console has RROD, i know they would fix it for free, but would they also fix the disc drive at the same time?any help would be appreciated.Question about sending in my xbox for re ...
A disclaimer in the return process says that if they get your xbox and it doesn't have RRD they won't do anything with it. And if it did have RRD, I doubt they would fix your faulty disc drive without charging you, because it isn't covered in the warranty.Mine got RRD and when I sent it in they didn't fix the USB flapper door on the face of mine (spring was broken). They didn't even fix my RRD, they just gave me a refurb'd 360, and put my faceplate and such on the refurb'd 360.RevQuestion about sending in my xbox for re ...
To get this to work to your advantage you would need your xbox to first RROD. Just google search how to do it and they will replace it no questions asked.
There is a stickied thread for questions like these at the top so please use it.
As for your question - no they won't repair it for free and will check if it has RROD before doing anything with it.
No they wont repair, even if you RROD they wont even touch your disc drive, the only 2 options I can give you is to man up and pay Microsoft for the repair, or buy a new 360, only 2 options I can give you.BTW their is also a stickied thread for broken 360's so for future references use that if you have a prob with your 360 ;)
