Questions from a new 360 owner

Hi, Just bought an Xbox 360 arcade andhave a few questions that I havn't been able to find the answers for online.1. How many demos/DLC can fit on a 256 or 512 card?2. Is it possible to get the five arcadegames that come with the console without connecting to Xbox live?3. Whats the benefit of installing games? What does that even mean?4. Is the red ring of death that common? How can I prevent it from happening or at least lower the chances?5. I once heard there was some way to get access to XBL for free, mind you this was about four years ago, does that still exist?Questions from a new 360 owner
1. Arcade game demos, probably a couple. Actual Xbox 360 game demos - one to none.3. Installing games is helpful to shorten load times and it also keeps your disc almost scratch free.4. No, keep it in a well ventilated area.5. Make a new account on your console, that's the only way to get a month free. I think each console can only do it a specific number of times though. I don't know about any other ways to get free XBL Gold.Questions from a new 360 owner
1. Not very many. Get a hard drive. You will not regret it.2. I think you need a hard drive to have the games. They came with my 60 gig.3. If you purchase Microsoft Points, original Xbox games and Xbox 360 Live arcade games usually are relatively cheap and can be very fun.4. Never move your console when there is a disc in it. Also don't even touch it if it is on, whether there is a disc in it or not. If you do get the red rings of death, contact Microsoft's support immediately.5. Xbox Live Silver membership is free, but you do need aninternet connection. Note that if you have the Silver Membership, you can't play online games. With Xbox Live Gold membership, you have all the benefits of Silver, but you do have the ability to play online games. Gold memberships are about $4 a month if you buy the year long subscription.
1. not a lot of demos as they are like 500mb- 1gig. DLC it depends on what it is. 2. idk, i don't have an arcade. i think u need to be on live to get it. 3. it makes the 360 sound quieter and some of the games load faster. halo 3 is one of the games that it doesn't do because bungie put in a code that has it already installed or something like that. 4. yes it is common for it to happen. when the xbox 360 first came out there wasn't a warranty on the 360. microsoft made a 3 year warranty because of all of the people that got it. I would say take some breaks from playing the xbox 360. just a suggestion, DON'T buy the inter coolers they people sell. it is a waist of money. all it is is another fan over another fan so it would do nothing. 5. idk, i never heard of this. u can keep on making xbox live accounts as signing up gives u one month free of xbox live. i think it is only like three accounts to a xbox or something like that.
