i need to transfer memory from my current 20gb 360 to another one. i need to transfer just my gamertag with all the saves, gamerscore, ect. whats the easiest way to do this. maybe not using the transfer kit thing?transfering memory (20gb 360 to 20gb 360 ...

memory unit is outrageously expensive 50$ last time I checked.
ME AND BRO GONNA HAVE new xbox. i need his saves to stay on current xbox while i switch over all my saves to my gamertag onto other xbox. can i use memory card to switch over the gamertag WITH the designated saves.
Your gamertag is separate to your saves so you would need to copy over each file you want individually, but yes a memory unit would do the trick.

Why can't you use transfer kit?[/QUOTE]Transfer kit only works if you want to move content to a 60GB or 120GB Harddrive, not to another 20GB, besides that it wipes the drive, best bet is to buy a memory card and transfer what you need over with that, remember all DLC is linked to your console not your gamertag, so if you move anything like Xbox Originals, Arcade titles, or game add ons you will either have to sign in online with your gamertag to use them or transfer your licenses over to the other 360, however I wouldn't do this if you still use the other 360.[QUOTE=''Avenger1324'']any reason you can't just swap the harddrives over?

You could use a transfer cable, but I think that wipes the harddrive before copying[/QUOTE]you can just move your harddrive over, but like I said above you will have to sign into Live online to use any of your DLC, I have done this several times to know you can do this, however if you don't keep or use the other 360 anymore, I would use the license tranfer tool on xbox.com.
Buy a memory card to transfer your saved games,settings and gamertag and go to your download history on live and redownload the bigger ticket items like around 500mb or more it worked for me and the memory card was only 20 bucks.
