Controller acting crazy! Please help!

Ok so I bought my 360 used and Im not sure whether I have a bad controller, bad controller battery, bad charger (I thinks its a cheap third party one), or bad ports on the console...I was playing earlier today and it had 3 bars, then I go to play it just now it's not charging when plugged in and all the xbox button on the controller does is keep doing that spinning wheel thing. And if it's not plugged in it'll just turn off, but it won't even charge when plugged in...Controller acting crazy! Please help!
Well its hard to say for sure exactly what is not working - do you have another controller/battery or charging cable you can test with?

The battery would be the best guess - they will die eventually - BUT even if they are dead it should still try to charge it - the charge just won't last long.

So when you plug in the charging cable do you get any red light on the controller end of the cable at all?

You could also try regular AA batteries it the controller just to test.Controller acting crazy! Please help!

1. if you think it's the controller, simply go to wal mart, buy a new one, swap the busted one with the new one, then return it. they will return basically anything. the old lady's behind the desk DON'T really care that much.2. if you still have the receipt for the controller and 360 or however you ended up buying it... do the same thing as above. go to the store, show them your receipt and explain what is going on. I'm sure the manager or someone else will gladly switch controllers if you explain to them this one is glitchy. or even a system if it proves to be the problem. if not- then you got ripped off big time :)3. use different batteries (like mentioned before), or take the controller to a friends place that has a 360 to test it.it sounds like you have real crappy batteries though... just do ANYTHING to test it out.4. seriously... what do you think we're going to tell you? YOU BEGIN BY REMOVING THE BACK PANEL OF THE XBOX 360 STARTING WITH THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER. CAREFULLY REMOVE IT AND MAKE SURE IT IS TURNED OFF... or something like REMOVE BACK OF CONTROLLER AND BEGIN TO STRIP AWAY THE WIRING TO SEE IF THERE ARE ANY SHORTS IN THE CIRCUITRY... i mean come on... these things don't require that much thought to figure something like this out. if you bought it used from a friend you are screwed. if you bought it used from a store chances are you'll be ok. and like i said you can always do the wal mart trick they really won't care.5. think about posting stuff like this because seriously it's annoying when some people can't solve there own problems and like to get help from other people... would you like to super size your HELP ME?
