http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=484726try this out...oh yeah and google is your friend.
E73 is a general hardware error caused specifically by the ethernet port. You can easily access more information on Google.I suggest contacting MS.Good luck.
meh already saw that its a ethernet problem or something, but the thing is that affect the whole console, but i want a solution and theres none x_X i already unplugged the wires and everything and i still got the red ligth and the error on the tv screen.
You mu$t of damaged the Ethernet port jugging it or $omething.Get ready 2 $hip it back 2 micro.
i havent done anything like i sayd i got a powerdown on my house so yeah i guess that facked it . oh well to ms u_u ... its gonna take more than 4 months to me to get it back since im not living on usa.
Unfortunately, I believe one red light is just as bad as the dreaded three. I've always had my 360 plugged into a surge protector and have had no problems with it (frantically knocking wood). It sounds like it's time to send it back to Microsoft.
Your ethernet port might have been damaged from the power outage. Once of my PCs modems got fried from that once. We pulled out the modem slate and there was a burn mark running through it from the connection point down to one of the many important pieces. Kind of cool.Worse case scenario is that this happened to your console, in which case M$ will actually ship you a brand new 360, meaning you'll get to have tons of fun redownloading and updating everything.
there it goes my halo edition console XDDDDDD..... U_u *cry*
hmmm this is strange ur all saying how this error is linked to the ethernet cable well i have this error and ive never used online on my xbox so wtf
A friend just got that same error last week and he called Microsoft and they told him that that error isn't covered by the warranty (sorry for you) and he had to pay 1600 mexican pesos (about $120 USD) to get it repaired. I suggest you to force the RROD to appear by intentionally damaging the console by unplugging it while on or overheating it if you don't want to pay that. It is an error that should be covered by the warranty, but you know Microsoft...
